Ep118: Bull Session | Sports with Roland: Roland Alaniz, Merri Garcia, Andy Gomez
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this unfiltered, adult-oriented "bull session," host Jesus Hilario Hernandez sits down with the Sports with Roland crew—Andy Gomez, Merri Garcia, and Roland Alaniz—for a raw and hilarious look at the Corpus Christi comedy scene. The group covers everything from their 200-episode podcasting journey and the "catalyst" that started it all to the gritty reality of bombing on stage at local pizza joints. Between Andy’s legendary "move" for getting out of traffic tickets and Merri’s candid insights into the challenges of being a woman in the local circuit, the conversation touches on the Corpus "Mexican OT," the frustrations of the city’s water crisis, and the evolution of their creative voices. Whether they are dissecting the plot of a "Lifetime movie" reboot, debating the merits of Mario Galaxy and GTA: San Andreas, or discussing the future of AI in media, this episode captures the authentic, unscripted spirit of the South Texas hustle.

What's going on, y'all? Welcome back to the Corpus Christi Originals. I'm your host, Asusi Laudio. Today we got a bull session today with the crew from sports with Roland, Andy Gomez, Roland, Alanis, Mary Garcia. What's up, y'all? We're gonna keep it 100, which means tonight we're gonna be unfiltered, vulgar, and definitely for adults. If you got kids in the room, grab your headphones now.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we're done talking about Paw Patrol.
SPEAKER_01So what's up, y'all? Y'all doing all right? Yeah, we're doing good. Thanks for having us. Yeah, for sure. So I was on y'all's podcast last time, and we're talking about all kinds of stuff just now. Uh how do y'all feel about the marijuana thing? Y'all can smoke flour until July or something like that.
SPEAKER_00I I wish it would be extended. I want to smoke flour whatever I want. You know, I kind of want it to be like alcohol, right? Yes, maybe certain areas I can probably smoke more than others, but I don't I don't want them to take it away from me.
SPEAKER_04Mary for Mayor. Hey today. Get Guajardo out of here. Mary Mary. Mayor, Mary, Mary, Mayor.
SPEAKER_00That's a lot of mayors.
SPEAKER_04I would vote for Mary for Mayor. That's a good thing. I I if we had designated smoke areas, especially down here downtown. Like, you know the place where they have all like the swings and stuff like that? Get that shit out of there. Why don't we want smoke and swing? I'm like okay. Nice, like good smoking.
SPEAKER_01From 10 p.m. to five in the morning for adults. They'll be color-coded, right? Like the pink ones they have over there. Have you seen the pink ones they have over there? They're color coded. Yeah, color like you color them green or whatever and put like a little plan on there. Like neither for us. These are designated areas. What's the pink for?
SPEAKER_05I don't know. They just make it that colorful. Brascantus Survivors only. Only during October.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so which movies are coming out that you guys are anticipating?
SPEAKER_04Seeing the Michael movie.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04That's already the part two movie? Well, you saw the first one.
SPEAKER_05Yes. Alright, I also saw it. God damn it? Ask me how it was.
SPEAKER_01Was that an Asian actor?
SPEAKER_05No. No, he's got a bit. It's bad. It's bad. You know it.
SPEAKER_00If you know Michael's songs. How was it? That one kills.
SPEAKER_03It was bad?
SPEAKER_00So you've seen it. I liked it, but you know, I'm a simple lady. I don't, you know, I don't care about storyline.
SPEAKER_05It's written like a lifetime movie. It sucks.
SPEAKER_00And I like lifetime movies.
SPEAKER_05I'm like, it's not my alley.
SPEAKER_00What the?
SPEAKER_04So this movie is pH balanced for a man, but made for a lady.
SPEAKER_05Yes. And also it's not about Michael Myers. They lied.
SPEAKER_01He didn't pull one person in there. So you guys are part of the comedy scene. Can y'all want your juices yourselves real quick?
SPEAKER_04Andy. I'm Andy. I I do comedy in Corpus. Christie, Texas. Yes.
SPEAKER_00I like all the pauses. Okay, so I'm Mary Garcia. I am also a comedian here in Corpus Christie. And then Roland.
SPEAKER_05And I'm Roland. I'm the funny one. All right, let's do it.
SPEAKER_00Wait, what?
SPEAKER_04I'm funny.
SPEAKER_06I'm funny.
SPEAKER_04Let's do it again. I'm Henry.
SPEAKER_00I'm the funny one. Alright. I'm the D E I hire. I got the biggest ditch. And that's how I got this job.
SPEAKER_02The biggest dense.
SPEAKER_01Man, I like y'all. I like y'all's uh podcast. I like because it's like every Sunday y'all got or every week y'all have one dropping. Sunday service, baby. Yeah, it's awesome. Like I try, I wish I could be like that consistent. So that's pretty cool. And I try to go back to see how many episodes y'all had. How many y'all have? It's gotta be over 200.
SPEAKER_00Probably at this point, yeah, over 200. That's pretty cool.
SPEAKER_04But as far as sports goes, I was not in the beginning.
SPEAKER_00He was not. There was somebody out. Yeah, you didn't. I remember hearing that. So Adrian.
SPEAKER_04And then I think we're on one of the episodes is when Adrian quits on air on the episode. Yeah, he does.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was pretty funny. And then we wrapped up and then he did the intro. That was it. Yeah, he was very, very for real.
SPEAKER_04But he also took a break from comedy, so and then Roland called me and said, Hey Andy, you know how you're so funny? You know how you're the funny one? Well, yes, Roland, yes, I do. Well, would you like to be the funny one on sports? And I was like, but Roland. Isn't Adrian the other one on sports? And he's like, well, funny story.
SPEAKER_00We need more funny, so Adrian's out, you're in.
SPEAKER_04And I was like, I'd be honored to.
SPEAKER_01Wow. See y'all, see y'all.
SPEAKER_04And then when I got there, then he was like, Alright, Adrian did it this way, so this is how you gotta do it.
SPEAKER_00Okay, you know what? That probably happened for a couple of episodes until you just until I did it my own.
SPEAKER_04I didn't realize that was gonna have to be the dude like take over Adrian's duties on that. I was just gonna do me. Funny stuff. But it was like, oh no, you're sponsored.
SPEAKER_00They actually gave you a job, and I was like, oh shit. We needed him to say the intro.
SPEAKER_04And me and Roland were just like the other the other day listening to the old intrus. Oh fuck. And the first ones I start off, I start, I try to sound like Adrian, like, hello, you're listening to Roland. My name is Andy Gomez. But then, like, I think maybe like 10 episodes in is when I start doing the voices. So like I yeah, I try to do a new voice every time when I do the the intro.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, I noticed that. I noticed that. So why did y'all start? It's podcasting uniquely Andy. Yeah, for sure. You got like different types of accents, that's pretty cool. And then you always do yourself, and then Mary, guest, and then your beautiful host. So what why why'd you have to be? How come y'all decided to start doing the podcasting too? Damn. What was that? Uh how come y'all started decided to start doing podcasting?
SPEAKER_00That is a good question. Okay, I think we started spitballing it back when I had a car, and then we were going out of town for a gig, and then Adrian was with us, and Roland and I had already kind of talked about it because we like make jokes back and forth. And then Adrian was the one, he was like the catalyst. He was like, Okay, let's do it, because he bought the mics and he had the uh the laptop initially. I didn't really do anything but show up.
SPEAKER_01No kidding. Wow.
SPEAKER_05Well yeah, so Adrian kickstarted it. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01What year? What year? I don't know.
SPEAKER_05That was about four years ago.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I I've been uh I've been doing comedy for like five years, and I started the podcast like one year after doing it.
SPEAKER_00I think part of it was just like cool, we get to hang out and then we'd like watch a movie afterwards. So that's something to look forward to, I guess.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's pretty cool. It seems like a lot of comedians are doing podcasting. Do you feel like that's a oh yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_05I can't remember who said I think it was David Spade who said uh podcasting of the comedians only fans. They're all let's they're all doing it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, when I was on the odds last time, I was like, Damn, you could definitely work on ideas here. Oh what I mean.
SPEAKER_00There have been times where we've like said something and we're like, oh, that's good, and then we write it down and then we've tried it at that point. Oh, for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I definitely saw that. I thought that was pretty cool, man. Yeah, for sure. What did we talk about last time? Lord of the Rings or stuff, uh, all kinds of other stuff, huh? We always talk about Lord of the Rings. I got one right here talking about how long can you drive an expired car registration uh with an expired car registration at two years? Two years.
SPEAKER_06I mean as long as you don't get pulled over.
SPEAKER_04Where my expertise comes in.
SPEAKER_01Yo, and we can just apologize and be like, oh, my bad. I got one, I think I got one for Alia.
SPEAKER_05It depends on the top that pulls you over. I mean, oh, dude. What's it like tasting like blue cheese?
SPEAKER_04The last time that made me have to get it was when we got pulled over. It was me and Roland, and it was like late night November. And the cop pulled, and I have a move that I do that has got me through most of the time. I didn't have time to be like Roland. This is the move, just play along. I just kind of figured you would gather what I'm doing. But like when the cop comes over, I stick my hands out the window, I'm like, oh god, don't go. Yeah, you like shake.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I start shaking, I'm like, God, please, please, I'll be like, and the cops like, what the hell are you doing? And you're like, Don't shoot me. And I look, and all of a sudden they're like, What?
SPEAKER_04You get two kinds of cops. Either you get the cops that want to fuck with you, and then when you do that, it takes all the fun out of it for them. Oh shit, or the cops who are just like, they're honestly trying to be like, What's going on here? They're like, Oh man, this guy's really freaked out. I better be nice so he knows that I'm not one of the bad ones.
SPEAKER_02You pulled over that many thousands.
SPEAKER_04My shit was expired for six years, I think. Seven years. Oh, that's not too bad.
SPEAKER_00I thought it was damn five years. If you go buy a new car, you can buy in like three, four years.
SPEAKER_04That's how long it was seven years. Uh like three years is the most like he was getting pulled over all the time. I just got it changed this year, and it was in 22.
SPEAKER_00Hmm.
SPEAKER_04Four years? Four or five years. Okay.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00Like the math isn't mathing.
SPEAKER_04So, so, but that was the move that I do, but Roland didn't play along, and so he's like, What's going on with your friend? And Roland's like, I don't know. He's like, Here's your ticket, dude. Get your shit fixed. I'm like, all right. And then I told him I was doing the thing. And he went, oh, that's what that was.
SPEAKER_00But now he knows for next time. That one date.
SPEAKER_04That's my move that I do.
SPEAKER_05I'm sure we can get out of a ticket now.
SPEAKER_04That's that's the that's the equivalent of showing your tent.
SPEAKER_01Have you actually gotten out of a ticket? Three times doing that. Like that? Wow.
SPEAKER_04Doing that. There was one time a lady pulled me over and I was like, I'm sorry, my mom died. Alright, we'll get it fixed, okay? Well, she let me go. There was another time I the cop pulled me out when I was I was uh coming out of the hospital and he pulled me out for going too fast because you know how they're on Texas Trail, they they have that space where it's like 10 miles, but when you come out of the hospital, you don't see that. So I'm just going whatever I think, and they're like, no, there's a flight like this. But I came out of the hospital. Oh, well, you wouldn't have seen it then. Well, there you go. Well, you thought, well, you gotta change the thing, and I was like, never mind. And he let me go. So I mean, damn. It it worked for me a few times.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I got one from Mary. Uh China, China develops cheap iron battery that lasts 16 years. Yo, because you have a bit that when your battery with the battery runs out.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yes. Adult toys. It is very frustrating. Um, you have to plan it properly. You plug it in, uh, and then you put the movie like, or you start reading something. Whatever. Whatever gets your motor going. Sometimes. Sometimes I make myself a nice steak dinner. Like, let me define the fuck out of this pan, and then that's you know what you should you should make, you should make wings instead.
SPEAKER_05So I can get that tongue, tongue, pre-tongue workout.
SPEAKER_01I'm a lot yeah, she came up with that bit. Uh what is it? Netflix develops uh has authorized wide release in February 2027. I guess they're gonna release their movies to be seen in theaters in theaters. Yeah, they've already done they've done a theatre.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. Uh K-pop 300? No? Oh, yeah, okay, I was in theaters. Um I saw Roma in theaters. That was cool.
SPEAKER_01I was thinking uh uh, so I was watching uh what Chris Nolan has one, The Odyssey.
SPEAKER_05Oh, it's coming out, yeah. Isn't that like a remake of coming out?
SPEAKER_01I just changed gears real quick. Uh talking, yeah. What do y'all think about that? Do y'all like Chris Nolan? Yeah, he's cool. Batman. Hell yeah. Dark Knight, right? Hell yeah. Like that.
SPEAKER_00He's a director. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04I have no idea who that is. He's the guy who did the Inception, he did Tenant or everything. We watched Tenant.
SPEAKER_00Oh, we did watch Tenant. I was like, oh okay.
SPEAKER_05That's that's a great movie.
SPEAKER_04Fucking.
SPEAKER_00I think I would like Van Fiction of that one. That would be pretty cool.
SPEAKER_01He was saying that like he didn't want for people to know like everything. Does that make sense? He's like, I wanted to confuse.
SPEAKER_04I could not explain that movie to you.
SPEAKER_05I love that movie. Do I understand it? Next question.
SPEAKER_04That's a crazy movie. And then if you want to like if you wanna tell him, Andy, tell him if you want to get high to this movie, don't it's gonna be impossible to understand. You can have so many questions. You're like, wait, he's going backwards and forwards, and then he what? Like, I still don't understand. Do they they have to go at certain portal entries to go to the backwards world?
SPEAKER_05Did I know I don't have time to explain tonight to you right now?
SPEAKER_04Uh see, at least uh at least uh Inception. Inception, the first half of that movie was like, okay, this is how Inception works, and uh, you know, you and dreams they feel like this and they go slower and all right, you get it, and then the second half of the movie is like, alright, here it is. If you didn't understand the first thing, I still didn't get the end. Is that supposed to be a cliffhanger where you Yeah, so is it supposed to be like, did he get out of the dream world or is he still in it? Yeah, might be they never show the kids' faces and they never show the little oh sorry and that little thing keeps spinning the top or whatever.
SPEAKER_05And then the Nelly song starts playing. Did you think about her? Think about me. It was all a dream.
SPEAKER_01How long have you guys been doing comedy for?
SPEAKER_04Tell them uh altogether, 125 years.
SPEAKER_01That's why you guys should go to open mics every every Thursday.
SPEAKER_04Combined time of 125 years. Sports went rolling!
SPEAKER_01So crazy. What do you think about the water situation?
SPEAKER_00It sucks. Thank you for bringing us water. Yes, thank you.
SPEAKER_01We had to get it from an outside source. What is this? Uh Ozart. Arlington, Texas.
SPEAKER_04You know what? It's such a it's such a fucking because the water's right there. It's not it's filthy water, it's gross water. But then, but then they're like, no, you can't touch that water. No, that water will make it.
SPEAKER_00You can try taking a bath in it, but it's not gonna feel clean.
SPEAKER_05Oh, that's a good test.
SPEAKER_04Do I feel that clean right now? Have you been in the bay? Have I taken a bath? You see more of a shower, man. I am a shower guy.
SPEAKER_01You're mentioning that Trump wants to put his face on the passports?
SPEAKER_04The passports, dude.
SPEAKER_05And and the uh and the currency you were saying too, right? And money? Well, he's putting his signature on the money. Uh worthless.
SPEAKER_04What didn't you sit to the the the money commissioner or whatever that has to do? Like the the dude who needs to sign in for the bill, and now it's just like it's gonna have Donald Trump. And Donald Trump has an ugly signature, dude.
SPEAKER_00It's just up and down. It reminds me of like the heart monitor, like when you're in the hospital something.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but he wouldn't want to do that, bro.
SPEAKER_04Well, you know, his good friend Kim Jong-un probably gave him the idea.
SPEAKER_00It's gonna be great. Think about it. You're gonna spend money and it's gonna be your face. How amazing is it?
SPEAKER_01Yay, there's a there's a controversy going with a PS5 or something like that?
SPEAKER_00A penis five?
SPEAKER_01The PS5? Oh.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_04I'm going back to the battery with her point. The penis five. Oh, yeah. I'm out there. I ran through the other four.
SPEAKER_05We're on five now. Yeah. Oh, it's like one of those pens with the different different flavors. Oh, orange.
SPEAKER_00That's the one. Let me write these good ideas down.
SPEAKER_04I wrote all the paint off the black one. Uh the black one broke.
SPEAKER_01That's its only response to criticism of new PS4 and PS5 game buying rule. Yeah, I don't like that. Saying a one-time uh online check is required.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's a little bit weird.
SPEAKER_00Just let me own this for one.
SPEAKER_04Well, there it's at least it's not as bad of what the Switch is doing for the Switch 2. Is you're gonna buy those games digitally, but if they but it's all gonna be on their servers. So if they turn off the game, that's like that's it. Like, at least with the with the actual direction, this is mine. You can just be like, Where now everything's gonna be download and it's all gonna be on their servers so they can turn it off whenever they're absolutely or like remake them for like the newest system because that's kind of how it's gonna be, and then you have to repurchase it.
SPEAKER_00Do you know how many times I bought GTA San Andreas? Really? Too many. It was my favorite for like a long time until part five came out. It was just it was the map at the time was super huge. I like the storyline. There were so many little things you can get into. I like the fact that the character got fat if you ate too much. It was great. I loved it.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm just saying, you gotta buy that many buy it that many times because I mean don't you own it?
SPEAKER_00I don't have it for the PS2 anymore, and then I don't even have a PS2 anymore, but I bought it for like the computer, and then they even have they pumped out uh that one and then part three and I think Vice City in like a bundle for like 20 bucks.
SPEAKER_04With a PS5? Yeah, so you can play it on like the Do they have upgrades in graphics or does it still look all no?
SPEAKER_00It still looks like uh I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I I've I've I better go back in graphics and playing games. That's true. I've tried to go back to Skyrim. I don't like the gameplay of it. The a third of the way into it and that, dude. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00But in San Andreas, it was like the circle that was the fucking that's how you shot, and it's kind of irritating.
SPEAKER_04Roland's never played GTA, he lives it. Yeah, my study specifically. Oh, do you do mine? You remember the character Gay Tony?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, did a lot of work for that man.
SPEAKER_01So you guys you guys do shows like often in corpus? Or out of it? Y'all do out of corpus stuff, don't y'all?
SPEAKER_00I can't. I don't have a car. No, especially this guy. I'd have to like tag along and be like, can so and so come with me so they can drive me and then I can maybe give them some time. That's crazy. That's my uh that's where I'm at.
SPEAKER_04Every time I turn around, dude, I see a Facebook page. Oh man, I had a great time in San Antonio from this guy, and then I go, Did you go to San Antonio? And he goes, No. The time that I catch you that you're in San Antonio, dude.
SPEAKER_01You said you went to what Schulemberg or Fredericksburg or something, and you did it, you did a bunch of them, uh a bunch of your jokes over there, and they loved it. Because he's all he's always talking about like Jew jokes and just yeah, what's that's not your joke? Fredericksburg, dude.
SPEAKER_05They were oh yeah, you know, yeah, okay. Actually, I do know what you're talking about. I did a private show uh at a German household.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, they definitely loved it then.
SPEAKER_05And private show?
SPEAKER_00It's a private show.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it was it was just their their house they were having a party. They opened the door of the Guten Tag! Well, no, there's a bunch of things. They were dressed in polka outfits. The leader hoses? Yeah. Oh yeah, yeah, they were all sexy, dude. Did they have like those wooden shoes? The wooden clogs? Yeah, yeah. Were they yodeling too? Everything you've heard is true.
SPEAKER_04Yodeling. I was hanging out with this white girl earlier this week. Hell yes. And she was like, check this out. And she played me some guy who yodels, and I'm like, Are you fucking kidding me? Isn't this something? She's like, oh my god, isn't this so cool? Like, no, no, this is not a yodeling? Yeah, that doesn't sound like when has yodeling ever been cool?
SPEAKER_06Before they had the internet, it's so hard, bro.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we were in the pit, and this was just all you got fucking turkey, dude.
SPEAKER_01Then he gets stomps. It reminds me of the bagpipes. You know the bagpipes? They're like really annoying sounding.
SPEAKER_00Okay, from but it's because the bagpipes were meant to be played in the mountains and things. Yeah, okay, okay. It wasn't really meant for confined space. Like right here. Yeah, funerals. Yeah, yeah, from over the hill and beyond.
SPEAKER_04When you get buried buried in the mountains.
SPEAKER_00That seems pretty intense. I think that would be cool.
SPEAKER_04Uh dude, I remember Rick. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Rick used to tell me, like, because I was big into corn.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04And they got that shooting ladder where they're playing the backpipe. And then and uh Rick would always be like, Man, these fucking new metals on, they're all like ring around the room. And then corn came out with that song, and he was like, Well no, that sounds pretty cool though.
SPEAKER_00Alright, so we gotta get some good Yodoli music for Andy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Yodolady I mean the scene. Y'all know y'all love this shit.
SPEAKER_00Oh friend. I feel like you're in the room with us.
SPEAKER_01Man, I just walked to uh watched the documentary on Woodstock 99.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the one where everybody thinks it on fire.
SPEAKER_04I like that we were the generation that was like, you know the Woodstock thing about peace and love? Let's fucking burn it down, dude.
SPEAKER_01Damn it. Burn it down with limb biscuits. And the and the guys that like the promoters that put it on were like, oh, there's nothing going on on day two or whatever, like acting like nothing happened. You saw that? People were like sneaking in, and like basically half the crowd was they they got in for free because they snuck in. Really? Did you see that?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I all I thought is like when things went south and everything was all muddy and they started tearing things down, and shit went on fire, and everyone's all like, oh fuck. I didn't think that would happen.
SPEAKER_01And then Fred Durst comes on and he like incites it and makes it even worse because of the songs that they play.
SPEAKER_04Bright stock. It's like Woodstock back in the 70s was all like, we need to come together, and only our coalition can stop the hate and the wars. But then by the time Lim Biscuit and all the all those which you gotta know, that's like that's douche music. Yeah, you get a hit, you get a million douchebags together. What the fuck do you think is gonna happen? Before these were flower children who are just like, Yeah, we just wanna fucking take peo and figure things out. And those are the chairs of the fucking. But then the fucking douche is like, man, there's no fucking pussy around here. So we gotta fucking burn it all down.
SPEAKER_01There's this one lady that was working there. She was in the original Woodstock, she's handing out trash bags that need to clean up and all this stuff. They're like, get out of here. Let's put it on fire.
SPEAKER_04Whatever. I'm not listening to a fucking four.
SPEAKER_05It's just because she's all alright. Oh thank you. You take that back. She was a high lady.
SPEAKER_00She meant what I just got there right now.
SPEAKER_01Did you have to do the Mario Mario Galaxy? Yes. Yeah, we did. I think we got now. Roland cried.
SPEAKER_04I turned around and as soon as Yoshi bought that, he's like funny enough, Roland cried the same amount when he saw Passion of the Christ.
SPEAKER_01I wish that was me. I wish Jesus was Yoshi. What system was the Gallic Mario Galaxy on? The Wii? The Wii? Okay.
SPEAKER_04And I'd have that game. That game was fucking fun, dude. You'd have to go like this and then spin Mario around like that. And there was like there was all the star bits, because you know all that star bits that they had? You had to pick it up with the thing while you're moving him like that. It became like a real like bounce. And then there was like different modes, like he had to bounce on a ball, so then you had to get the stick like a joint stick and move it like that. It was a fun game. Mario 2, uh get Mario Galaxy 2 when Yoshi came out. Yeah, Yoshi just made it like a thousand times harder than I was like fucking fucking.
SPEAKER_00But they're also on the ship too, uh, in the second one. Mario Galaxy.
SPEAKER_04Was there actually on the ship? Well, they had a ship in the first one too.
SPEAKER_00It's true, but that one I like that one better because it it felt more like land. You know, you didn't couldn't fall off or anything.
SPEAKER_04There's a library. And they had you you had to deal with the gravity of other worlds, so you would have to jump so high, so you get caught in their gravity. That was what was fun about that.
SPEAKER_00Great stoner game. Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, dude.
SPEAKER_00I'd be all ripped and be like, what's on the other side of the bite monsters and they'll just run around the world and have to like.
SPEAKER_04And there's a lot of times where I'll I'd be like, Sideways. Upside down. It's kind of like gravity, kind of it was fun. Dude, that's a fun game. Dude, let's go play we fucked it.
SPEAKER_01Yes, what's up, man? Uh is there a second princess actually? Or her sister? Is that like that was Daisy? Yes, Daisy.
SPEAKER_04Well, oh no, you're thinking about Rosalinda. Oh, yeah. Oh, the galaxy. So I I didn't know that that's like Peach's sister. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it turned out that's Peach's sister.
SPEAKER_00Oh, it's just like the star people like raised her, right? Because she got kidnapped or something.
SPEAKER_04Well, did you watch the first Mario movie? I did, yes. So, so remember, she's like, I just ended up in Toadland and they raped the princess. She's like, I don't remember what happened. Well, in this one, she's like, Oh, it turned out like her star castle got like attacked when they were little. So her sister sent her away to save her, and now they're meeting back together and they have star power together.
SPEAKER_01That's cool.
SPEAKER_04And then at the very end, the very like the scene after the credits, Daisy shows up. Oh shit. And she's like the queen of the like the interstellar like uh movie by Christopher Nolan. Space station that they were at where they saw Star Fox.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, oh yeah. Well, Star Fox in there.
unknownDamn.
SPEAKER_00Alright, I gotta go watch this movie.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's in there. So it's so you like it because it's close to the storyline of the actual game?
SPEAKER_04Uh I liked it because of Star Fox. I was just like, dude, if Star Fox is in this thing, this is gonna be a fucking awesome movie. And when I think that's all Star Fox and he was Glenn Powell. Oh yeah, Glenn Powell.
SPEAKER_01Dang, so I'll whisper to me. Yeah, for sure, man. How do y'all come with y'all? Is that how you come up with your jokes? You just talk about stuff? Yeah, you know what?
SPEAKER_04I think a lot from the podcast and stuff like that. If I'm gonna do like new stuff, the old stuff that I do is just like shit that I was thinking about at the time. Yeah, I try to steal a lot of Roland's jokes before.
SPEAKER_01How do you feel about that, Roland?
SPEAKER_05Uh he I I let him do the jokes and he gives me a nickel.
SPEAKER_01It pays you every time, Roland.
SPEAKER_05Don't spread it all in one place, boy.
SPEAKER_00Let me tell you about it. Be sure to bite that nickel, make sure it's real. Yeah. His teeth come down, his teeth come down.
SPEAKER_04Every Sunday.
SPEAKER_02Now I can have a boiled goose.
SPEAKER_01There was there was two people arrested uh in a bizarre insurance fraud because they dressed up as a bear and damaged their own cars?
SPEAKER_04How like I don't know, would y'all do something like that? I don't think I'd do that to be like is it a quality furry suit?
SPEAKER_00Like what what kind of quality was the the bear suit? Was it just garbage? Did it just look like a person wearing a bear suit? Yeah, I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_04There's no way that they can go.
SPEAKER_00It's like wow, that person's nine foot tall. That's stupid.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's very clear.
SPEAKER_04You'd have a better chance if you just dressed up in like little like tied up t-shirt like that, and you're like, eh, what are these? It's like, oh, that's a bear.
SPEAKER_01They see them claws like he actually wanted to mess up his car, dude. Yeah, we'll pick it the insurance.
SPEAKER_00Even then, like, come on, you he probably had to spend a good chunk of money just on that suit. Damn it.
SPEAKER_02$300 down the train.
SPEAKER_04Wouldn't that the start to a fucking new business? He's like, I I dress like a bear and you get insurance. We bear about you. Is your insurance unbearable? Call me. I'm a bear.
SPEAKER_00Who can speak? So don't you worry. That's funny.
SPEAKER_01So uh a major reports about Disney investing in a billion dollars into open AI to use Thora for generating Star Wars and Marvel content. Oh well. I don't want to watch it. Nerds. Boo. What about Mortal Kombat? Do y'all want to get into Mortal Kombat?
SPEAKER_04I like Mortal Kombat.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04But you know what? Here's the thing. I don't know. I don't know if I can watch this next one. Because the first one I only watched because of the pandemic.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_04And they were showing it on HBO like while it was in the theaters. They're like, so you don't go outside, we'll give you free movies.
SPEAKER_03Oh, crazy. You remember that?
SPEAKER_04That's how I saw Dune, the first Dune. I was never gonna watch the first Dune. The first Dune was just gonna pass me by. And I was just gonna be like, what kind of fucking nerd movie is that? But then the pandemic hit and they're like, here's free Dune. And I was like, man, it's free, right? Let's watch it.
SPEAKER_02And they're like, now I'm like, oh Dune.
SPEAKER_05Now you're now you have your own warm flesh line.
SPEAKER_02It wasn't the fucking doctor.
SPEAKER_01Hey, so what Dune 3 is coming out?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. It's coming out the same week as uh Doomsday for Marvel. Yeah, we talked about that last time.
SPEAKER_01Which one would you see over the two?
SPEAKER_04I would do the the Oppenheimer Barbie thing and watch them both.
SPEAKER_00Go pay for one thing. Uh and then once that's done, you just walk to the next theater. See the other one. Two for one, baby.
SPEAKER_04Which out of okay, have you seen Oppenheimer and Barbie?
SPEAKER_01I haven't seen Oppenheimer.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, I don't see Barbie.
SPEAKER_01Why not? Dude.
SPEAKER_04I'll tell you right now.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04We saw it in theaters. Hardcore. Dude, I'll tell you right now. You want to hear the story of Barbie? This is what the story of Barbie is. The dudes take over, make everything awesome. Nope. And the women manipulate them back into making it the way it was.
SPEAKER_00It wasn't awesome. It was awesome for dudes, but that was it. That's pretty with the real world. I was like, dude, come on. It looked like our Barbie universe.
SPEAKER_04When Barbie had beer, you used to be a lawyer. She's like, but I got a beer now. And then they would have to capture them in the car and be like, remember, you had a job. You were respected. And they're like, well, oh yeah. I guess I gotta do that again. They were more enthused. Yeah, they were more enthused than that. But I mean, it's still crazy. They had to they had to one by one manipulate them back into not having fun. Yeah, we gotta go back to the code. Granted, if they would have kept on going the fun kenway, their economy would have collapsed and you know it would have been pretty terrible.
SPEAKER_00It's a magical world, dude. They didn't have an economy. Exactly. So why not be the Casa Data Hotel house? It's ridiculous.
SPEAKER_04Because it's fucking awesome. Just for the dudes. The dudes really like it. Oh but you know that screen. But otherwise it's like.
SPEAKER_00It just became like a fucking uh Twin Peaks. And it's like, okay, cool, that's already the fucking real world. Ladies can't have a few.
SPEAKER_01So it stayed on that in that fantasy realm or whatever you're trying to say.
SPEAKER_00Kinda. And then you know the real world happened and it sucks to be a woman. What does it feel like being a woman in a comedy? It kind of sucks. But whatever. I don't want to fucking bring it down. No, bring it down. I try not to do something in the bullshit. Misogyny. And I I I pretend, you know, I'm one of the boys. Ha ha ha ha ha. But I still fucking hear it. And it's like, well, I don't want to police anybody, because that's not my fucking job.
SPEAKER_04Right.
SPEAKER_00So I just don't say anything. Damn.
SPEAKER_04But see, but Mary's probably one of the funniest ones, though.
SPEAKER_05That's what it's like being a hot guy in comedy. There aren't any.
SPEAKER_01You mean, okay, so you say misogyny on the stage, off the stage, both? Both? Dang.
SPEAKER_00But I mean, it is what it is. We're in South Texas. I can't have an abortion. I can't fucking like go to another city. I can't what order uh birth control pills anymore? Those are my favorite kind of pills, man. Yeah, that's wow. But yeah, that's also why cool. I have my toy. I don't fucking need you guys.
SPEAKER_04I pay all my own goddamn bills. 16 years.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna come like 30 million times.
SPEAKER_04You ribbing up like that?
SPEAKER_00Oh, thank god. No, no, no. It's a button. You just push a button.
SPEAKER_04I won't have to wrap anything up. Man, Mary's got into the future. Oh, shoot. Might still pull start.
SPEAKER_01That's alright. Christmas is gone.
SPEAKER_05Some girls need a chainsaw.
SPEAKER_01Do y'all think about that? Like as comedians? No, they don't. No, alright.
SPEAKER_05Oh well, think about what?
SPEAKER_01Like her being like a woman in comedy and having those types of issues, I guess, with with the comedy.
SPEAKER_05Uh, I don't know. I think of Mary as a lady. I think of her as funny.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, just kind of you gotta approach it. That's interesting. Sorry, drive too deep, real quick.
SPEAKER_04There are I I admit there are times where you know what I mean? Because we're all the guys there, and we go, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. And it's just one of those things, it's just like, you know, Mary and Tina and Anna are there.
SPEAKER_01You're like, oh yeah, still here. Or like you forget they're there, like Tepding.
SPEAKER_04Well, I always think it's like we're the group, and I yeah, I always feel like so you're always trying to outfunny everybody else. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00That's true, and I don't mind that part. It's just when it comes at the expense of like shitting on women that I don't fucking like. But happen a lot of times that that happens. Yes. Yes, it does.
SPEAKER_01Well, I can see how it could be easy for a woman to do the same way to a man, maybe because Do I though? No, I'm not saying that you do, but I'm saying that lady comedians maybe because they see that and they're like, Well, sure, I'm gonna do it back. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00That's true, but I also I don't really want to like, uh-huh, let me get revenge because you said that thing, let me say this thing, and it's just gonna be fucking perpetual, like forever, never ending. And like, whatever.
SPEAKER_01It's not good for the scene, I don't think. If yeah, that makes sense. Did y'all hear about these uh fake Border Patrol agents? Uh no, but I'm not surprised. A man in California was just caught impersonating a border patrol agent.
SPEAKER_00Isn't that against the law?
SPEAKER_01He wasn't doing it for money, he was doing it to For the love of the game. We're going downtown. He was he was doing it to disrupt missions by leading real agents on a wild goo chase to help people avoid deportation.
SPEAKER_05He was helping the Mexicans, but in the most like sitcom way possible. He's like, check out this man.
SPEAKER_04He hiding behind the real agents, and then when they're checking guards, they go, he goes, I've got one on my feet. He ran over to his side. Is that what he did?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I would have a taco chip and be like, look, bro, you gotta buy two tacos minimum.
SPEAKER_04Do you remember? You're from here, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Do you remember in Robstown you would get you would ask for uh I think it was like a taco fifty?
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_04It was it was like a uh they're a dollar fifty? No, no, no. You in Robstown, there was a taco place where you would ask for like like give me like ham and eggs 50. And they would know that that would give you ham and eggs with cocaine in it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, what the fuck? Yeah. Look, I know tacos are getting expensive, but I'm not trying to spend $60 per tacos.
SPEAKER_04But those were people who were buying like drugs in the tacos. In the eggs and stuff like that, like a little bag of cocaine with it.
SPEAKER_00Dude, imagine those eggs are like runny as hell and you can't find your cocaine. You're just like, what the fuck? You spent $120 on breakfast tacos? $100. Yeah. You you pay cash in those situations. So see the bill on the credit card. Like, babe. Can I have my allowance early?
SPEAKER_01Right on, right on. Yeah, that's it. Now that he's gone, we can talk bad about him. He went to the restroom on the last the other podcast he was on.
SPEAKER_00He's he knows exactly where it's at. He doesn't need to ask for directions.
SPEAKER_01What are you guys saying? Sorry. Nah, I was just I was just just trying to come up with stuff. Yeah, so you guys been doing comedy for what how many how long y'all been doing comedy for?
SPEAKER_00Uh six, I think going on seven years.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think uh yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I've been doing about five years. Uh right after the pandemic was over, I guess.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that was a really good time to start doing comedy. Because everybody, yeah, that's when I kind of it was like the pandemic happened and then things were open, but everybody was still too kind of scared to go out, or they had gotten used to like, ooh, it's company, I just don't go anywhere and I watch all these movies. Uh so there was only like seven or eight of us, I think, when I started uh doing comedy. So it's me, Blake, Anna, Brandon, Tina, uh, and then a couple of people who uh aren't doing comedy anymore.
SPEAKER_01Wow. Is that so like had you wanted to do comedy before the pandemic stuff or before that?
SPEAKER_00Uh yes. I mean it was always something in my mind, you know. It uh but that's when I actually like started going in, taking it seriously, I guess.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that's so cool. Did you have an idea of what to come up with or what to talk about?
SPEAKER_00I did, but uh yeah, those first three times I was not very good. Yeah, can y'all show it? Because you know, you gotta what is the crowd like? This is what I think is funny, but sometimes it doesn't translate or I forget what I'm talking about, and then I end up somewhere else.
SPEAKER_01Do y'all use AI at all to write jokes? What's never funny?
SPEAKER_04Not to write jokes. I've never used it to write jokes, to write emails for work and stuff.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, or a biopic of like Andy is a super funny fella.
SPEAKER_04Whenever they ask you, whenever they ask you, like send in a little thing about you that I I'll use AI for that because I'm not gonna write it. Because if I write it, it's gonna be like this fat shit motherfucker.
SPEAKER_00Just get to the source and like swap out some of the like fat shit for uh this plump, hilarious like something like that.
SPEAKER_01Can y'all share a story of when you're all bombed on stage?
SPEAKER_00You don't want to think about those days. What are you talking about? It's it's a terrible feeling. I mean you're like the last time I went to that time bombed.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, I've heard about that.
SPEAKER_00Oh shit. Uh, where were we uh performing at?
SPEAKER_04We were at at uh fucking the pizza place. What's it called? Tanks? Yeah, Peter Piper.
SPEAKER_00I was like, there's most of them are pizza places. If you're gonna get into comedy, just FYI. We will go to pizza places.
SPEAKER_05You will go places. Most of them are pizza places.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. It's like, hey, uh, we're gonna feed you. All right, cool. That sounds great. What do you guys uh what do you guys serve? Pizza. Wow. That's pizza's cheap, dude. If you really think about it, it's just like uh yeast, like some kind of oil, like the flour. And just fucking it it proofs or it gets bigger, it's just bread, it's just really cheap.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
SPEAKER_00Two, three bucks to make like a large dad and alcohol, right?
SPEAKER_01You gotta start alcohol, of course.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah. Alcohol's worth most of that. That's true, because once you get a little bit tipsy, you're like, yes, I will uh break this hundred dollar bill that I was saving to pay for rent.
SPEAKER_03I did get a whole bottle of uh uh champagne doesn't taste at that show, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Good to me. Did it taste good? I've always found champagne like it did. Because the carbonators has carbonate carbon. Yeah, but I mean it's it just tastes like a topo chico and put it in a juice to me. Why?
SPEAKER_01Well, you're so good. Congrats on that, yeah? Yeah, yeah, that's awesome.
SPEAKER_00I haven't, yeah, for a few years now. You still have this bottle or what? Nah, drank it. You drank it already? Drank it and threw it away.
SPEAKER_04It's not it on the way back. It's not like, ooh, this is a good year. This was fucking this morning they made this.
SPEAKER_00Well, what an age for 15 years.
SPEAKER_04But I I bombed there, they stuck me between uh the owner's wife and the lady who was supposed to be like the headliner that night. Both of them black ladies, both of them fucking hella drunk. When they went out there. So when I went out there and I'm just like doing my jokes, like a lot of people were just like, okay. I had one lady, one drunk lady in the front. She was going, and then the rest of them are like, why is the fact are you talking about his day?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Look, sometimes you just need that one person. She gave him shit, and then who cares about everybody else?
SPEAKER_04Blake killed it at that show. I he went up there and started talking about how like Tupac was gay, and all the other people they were like, I don't know. So that's when I went inside to go get the champagne. Yeah. And then I went I came back out with the champagne, and as soon as I came out, everyone's all they were freaking out. It was all like, get out my fucking donut hole. And everybody was like, They were like, oh my god, let me have my baby. Oh my god. And I was like, wow. And then and then Joe went and they were like, ah, my guy. And then T went up there and they laughed at T also. And then when I went up there, it was just that one lady who was drunk enough to be like, lava laugh.
SPEAKER_01What did you think it was? Were they like mostly wasted at that point? Or it's weird.
SPEAKER_04It's hard to tell. It's so weird. You know what I mean? If if I'm blaming it on anything, I think the drunk owner lady who was before me kind of like she was screaming at all of the people who were there who were not playing. And then I went up there and I'm like, no, but I got like funny thoughts that I have. And they're just like they're talking to her back there. Wow.
SPEAKER_00And so yeah, if they're not paying attention, then it's really hard to get them to like follow along where the joke is going.
SPEAKER_04But I'm, you know, I'll blame myself before I blame anybody else. So it's just because I suck and you know I should have done better.
SPEAKER_01Is most of your stuff observation? Because your stuff is kind of like store, like follow follow the story type.
SPEAKER_00Kind of. I I personally I feel like I'm terrible at telling stories because I've got ADD, and then by the time I get to the point, I'm like, wait, wait, wait, yeah, I gotta go back to the thing.
SPEAKER_04So I got a couple things that I do that are like kind of story-like. I got the the acid story with Bill that I do. Classic. Uh I also the one with uh with uh the Mambo number five guy, I feel is kind of story-like.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah. Even the other one a while. That was pretty cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was laughing like that. We were at the artist and I had never I had never seen it before that, bro. I was like, dang, this dude made me laugh a lot. Yeah, and then and then Roland's are like your jokes are more like like you think of it.
SPEAKER_05I don't tell jokes, dude. I tell the truth.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01The last time they were like, oh yeah, just so you know this next guy coming up. Whatever. They had to like precurse before you came on stage.
SPEAKER_05Actually, this last Thursday, right, right as soon as I got on stage, there was some Mexican dude in the audience and he went, El Diablo.
SPEAKER_00He's like, I remember you from last time.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. It's not Mexican OT, dude. Yeah, oh yeah, no baby. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Damn. He looked at me, he went, Hey Cuckooy. Yeah, I always say what's up to that dude. He comes in all the time. You were talking about last time too, right? Yeah. Mexican OT dude.
SPEAKER_00There's fans out there.
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_00That's very great. Uh he went, or he was actually at this last lab, which was just all improv. Oh, he was there? Mm-hmm. What he did come up and say a couple of things.
SPEAKER_04No way.
SPEAKER_00So he wants to try it out.
SPEAKER_04So he's trying it out now?
SPEAKER_00Well, I don't know because improv is a little different than comedy, or at least open mic. Because open mic, you have kind of like an idea or of a place where you're trying to take the joke and hopefully get laughs, and then improv is just he's gonna go there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Hey, all these people they're telling jokes, but I think I can do it better. Or how does Meg OT does that thing where he rolls everything?
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, I don't know. Have you seen that clip? Uh yeah, yeah. For sure. Well, y'all could so bomb in, man. That's that's crazy. I guess the def that definition could be different for everybody. That's true.
SPEAKER_00If they last if they laugh at like less than 70% of my set, then I'm like, okay, yeah, I kind of bombed.
SPEAKER_04If they don't even laugh, like if they don't like pick, if I don't get like a fall down laugh for everything that I do, I bombed. Yeah. And then I I hate that. I hate that when I think it's gonna go really well. Yeah, and then it's just kind of just go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because you have like the energy for it, and then you don't get that laugh, and then it's like yeah. Let me try something else. It does, it does. Sometimes you can get them back by being like, okay, well, I guess that joke sucked, and then you it's like a pity laugh, but it's not least something, yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_01You know, it almost seems like you gotta do you have to gauge the crowd too before you go on there.
SPEAKER_04That's what I I like to that's why I like to go first, but I also don't really like the tea.
SPEAKER_00It's like, okay, did they laugh at somebody's dirty or what was go ahead of me and then I can go?
SPEAKER_04I so I can gauge. I'm like, okay. They like that, or they didn't like that. Yeah, these someone said something dirty and they really like got into it, so now you can be like, nick my butt off.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because it helps. That's true, that's how it works. How you get it really clean without a badoo.
SPEAKER_01Clean comedy, y'all have y'all ever done clean comedy?
SPEAKER_00Yes, yeah, it's really just like you're swapping out like bad words or not saying bad words, and then the slightly edgy stuff, you just don't say that word. You say something else, but they know that that's the word that you're talking about, and that's essentially still clean.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. I've gotten in trouble with that too, where they're like, no, you're still talking about porno and stuff like that. Even though you don't say porn, you can still say you say dirty movies and stuff like that, but then they're like, Oh, but your subject is still Oh, so not because the words are.
SPEAKER_00Okay, but I think it's it depends on the person, I guess, or whoever's putting it on. But there's gonna be like kids and shit.
SPEAKER_04Like I wouldn't be able, like, my stuff that I do that I know that is gonna work is not gonna be something that's gonna be like I can make it like and then I looked at her poo-poo hole and have you ever tried clean comedy?
SPEAKER_05Well, I mean it's uh it's it's difficult because uh technically I don't really I don't have curse words in my yeah in my in my act, so is that clean technically if I don't say the bad words? You know, minions and Auschwitz aren't bad words, but I'm still talking about dark stuff, so I don't know.
SPEAKER_00That's true. You did have like a ginger joke. Yeah, but he's dyslexic, so it was not ginger.
SPEAKER_05No, yeah, that joke. That's for the ones at home. Um but yeah, I don't uh I try not to say swear words, but I still want to talk about the Holocaust.
SPEAKER_06We gotta be from outside.
SPEAKER_01How do you land on those subjects? Like, why do you how come you it's so cute? Like, why what makes you think about the holocaust all the time?
SPEAKER_00I think it was that movie I think we had watched. Uh the producers, or at least that's what he says. It's like, hey, this is why he thinks it's funny.
SPEAKER_04Wait, what was that movie where the where the guy lived next to the fucking camp?
SPEAKER_05The boy in the striped pajamas? Cracking open a cold one with the boy in the striped pajamas.
SPEAKER_04No, it was another one. I it's not that I know the striped pajamas one, but there was another one. What was it?
SPEAKER_05It was the one where they showed all the shoes at the end and oh, you know it's uh the one with the red coat, the little girl? The concentration camp movie, Chicken Run.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you know what? I don't think I think you're right.
SPEAKER_01You had this one with the what was it, the JFK accent, Hod?
SPEAKER_05Oh remember you said Marilyn um wrote oh yeah, yeah, that's that's uh uh that's a joke my brother wrote actually. I choose Marilyn to do not because she is easy, but because I am hard. That's pretty cool. I I did the uh so one time uh I did that joke uh and I got it on video, I did it, and then nothing except for this baby that started laughing that was in the audience. Yeah, the reincarnation of JFK.
SPEAKER_00And you got it uh recorded too, because I think you ended up doing like a yeah, I have video of it.
SPEAKER_05It's pretty funny.
SPEAKER_01So did they do they actually know who shot JFK?
SPEAKER_00Um I mean uh isn't not the conspiracy, so it wasn't Lee Harvey.
SPEAKER_05All I have to say is uh watch the movie JFK the Oliver Stone from Yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh Maya, why don't you go ahead and roll the clip actually?
SPEAKER_04I brought a clip.
SPEAKER_01So the driver in the front. Or in the okay. I I saw uh Kat Williams. I guess we don't need Sam.
SPEAKER_04He's like he's like, when I went away, I'd learned everything. Everything from the Illuminati. Ask me who shot JFK? I'll just tell you one thing. And he act he acted like he's driving and turned around and went all right. That was Cal Williams? Yeah, that's what Cal Williams saying. And this was after he got beat up by the eighth grader.
SPEAKER_00Is that a really big eighth grader?
SPEAKER_04It was about his size, eighth grader.
SPEAKER_05So no.
unknownDang.
SPEAKER_01Whose comedy is y'all's like, would you say, like, I guess out of Chappelle?
SPEAKER_04Chappelle's a genius, dude. I'm sorry. Chappelle, Louis C.K. has been getting Chappelle like ever since I was young. My the first comedy stand-up DVD that I ever bought to just like watch over and over was killing them softly.
SPEAKER_05Wow. So but if you were to ask me, I would say Andy's comedy stands. What bot?
SPEAKER_06I would say like yours too.
SPEAKER_05I'll say yours is like uh Louis C. K. Because you can't stop talking about jacking off too. You can't stop trapping people in rooms and doing it.
SPEAKER_01Thanks to you that made me feel good. I was I was asking, I was talking to AI and it was saying that uh because I was mentioning that you guys are gonna come on and it's gonna be like blue comedy and stuff like that. And then it was like, oh, you can mention, oh, yeah, that's why Andy only comes on uh every six months.
SPEAKER_04Because I'm on my period? Wait, how many times do periods happen? Once a month. Okay. I was way off.
SPEAKER_05Four, two, three. Andy, you need to get your pussy checked. I got it, guys.
SPEAKER_04I have what you call super period.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, thanks for coming on the show, y'all. Oh, yeah, no, thanks for having me. Do you have any shows coming up or anything y'all want to plug?
SPEAKER_00Uh yeah, so there's gonna be a show at the uh Rich's billiards on the 16th of this month. Uh it's a $10 show. It's a lady show. Okay. What was the flyer? It said these lips aren't sealed, something like that. They're that misogyny thing again, y'all. I didn't make that flyer.
SPEAKER_01I the color was cool. It was pink. Yeah, I want to I want to get some lady comics on now. Just in the pretty funny talk about that stuff. That's pretty cool. You know what you're looking at so far. Yeah, just had you just had a bunch of them.
SPEAKER_04Uh yeah. Well, the last one was then.
SPEAKER_01Is that why he's not doing shows anymore? Because he bombed it.
SPEAKER_04They went from like, I started off that whole thing with like, yeah, oh, you'll get them next time. And then ended it with like, oh cool David Kector, my mouth is on fire. And then I had to get my tooth pulled out. So it's been, you know, I've I've had success, wins and losses. But no, I don't have anything in the future right now. If you want to book me, maybe I got the bad stuff out. I don't know. They take out my tooth.
SPEAKER_01Damn, she got a website, bro. They can book you guys. You got any shows, uh, Roland?
SPEAKER_05Um, yes, but I don't remember what's name. Like mid-mid-may, thumbtooth, I think. I don't remember. I gotta find out. Sports with Roland, I guess. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04If you if you're there and you see it's Roland, that was the show that he was talking about. If you happen to be somewhere and then you open your eyes and Roland's there, you know, some say Wendell said, I'll see you when I see you.
SPEAKER_06I'll see you when I'm looking at the show.
SPEAKER_04Some say when you ring a bell, every time you ring a bell, a Roland appears. Now you gotta send my name three times into the mirror. Every time you ring a bell and say the n-word.
SPEAKER_01Dude, that's gonna be there with a page. You always ask every white dude on the Slow Rose podcast, do you actually say the N-word when you're listening to You ask them to say it? When you're listening to okay song.
SPEAKER_04If I'm being honest, like if I'm alone and I'm vacuuming and I've been listening to music, I would say it. Yeah, I'm gonna be part of the group. But Joe is the one who's like, I never say it.
SPEAKER_02Like, are you five?
